Founded by Karen Elizabeth Lozner, Karen E. Couture is a luxury women’s wear brand dedicated to modern sophistication, cultural elegance, and effortless movement. Launching its highly anticipated Fall 2025 collection on August 15, 2025, the brand brings timeless fashion to women who value beautiful design, natural fabrics, and intentional craftsmanship.
Our collections are thoughtfully created for life in motion, ideal for work, a city stroll, a dinner date, or a special evening out. With a focus on easy-to-wear silhouettes, refined tailoring, and sustainable luxury, each piece is crafted to feel as good as it looks.
What sets
us apart?
Every Karen Elizabeth Couture piece is made from natural fibers including wool, cotton, silk, and viscose, all carefully sourced from the best textile houses in New York City and Paris, France.
Each design is produced in limited editions, only 5 pieces per style, ensuring exclusivity and reducing waste. Our garments are handcrafted in Paris, France, and New York City, USA, and most are lined with silk charmeuse and finished with French seams for a luxurious, couture-level experience inside and out.
Custom Evening Wear
In addition to our ready-to-wear collections, Karen Elizabeth Couture offers a bespoke experience through our custom evening wear studio, specializing in:

- Elegant special occasion pieces
Each garment is made-to-measure and designed in collaboration with the client. Custom fittings are available by appointment at our Garment District studio in New York City.
The Story
Karen Elizabeth Couture was founded in 2001 after the birth of her daughter, born from a desire to create fashion that’s both meaningful and timeless. Karen Elizabeth is a New York City-born designer who studied Fashion Design and European Architecture at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). With a deep love for structure, fluidity, and timeless aesthetics, she blends urban modernism with European classicism, creating garments that are bold, feminine, and enduring.
Her journey has taken her from NYC’s design studios to the fashion houses of Paris, where she sources fabrics and partners with skilled artisans to create handcrafted pieces that reflect her passion for detail and heritage craft.
Karen Elizabeth took a step back from her personal label to launch two successful fashion design schools, one in New Jersey, the other in Manhattan, where she teaches students from ages 8 to adult the full spectrum of fashion design: sketching, patternmaking, cutting, draping, and sewing. Through teaching, she has inspired a new generation of creators, while nurturing her own vision for a modern fashion brand grounded in beauty and integrity.
Now, she is reintroducing Karen Elizabeth Couture with a new collection for women in the U.S. and Paris, uniting luxury, craftsmanship, and sustainable design under one beautifully tailored label.
